Campers will design and build a one-of-a-kind artwork using upcycled materials and a battery-powered LED light source to demonstrate the wonders of light interactions. From reflections and refractions to shadows and glow effects, this camp is perfect for kids who love to create, tinker, and experiment. 

Camp Highlights: 

• Light Meets Art: Campers will explore how light interacts with materials to create stunning visual effects, demonstrating at least two unique interactions in their artwork. 

• Upcycling Fun: Using recyclable and found objects, kids will craft their lighted artwork, learning the importance of sustainability and creative reuse. 

• Digital Creativity: Campers will use AI tools and Animoto to create a video presentation showcasing their lighted masterpiece and the story behind their design. 

• Hands-On Exploration: Guided by their curiosity, campers will experiment with textures, shapes, and materials to achieve their desired light effects.

• Principles of light and how it interacts with different materials. 

• The value of upcycling and sustainable art practices.
