"YOU CAN'T SELL IT, IF YOU CAN'T PITCH IT."  Whether you're a writer trying to get your script optioned, sold or produced...an author with a manuscript you want an agent or publisher to read...an actor or voice talent or other performer wanting the talent agent or casting agent to pick YOU...Whatever it is you want another person to do to further your creative career: convincing that person is a "pitch" to win them over.   LISTEN & LEARN FROM VIP SPEAKERS who are successful professionals in the fields of film, television, streaming, new media, novels/books, documentaries, the "real world" of business, etc. (writers/producers/directors/authors/ACTORS/casting agents/business leaders!), how to pitch better at the Inaugural 'PITCH STRONG' event being held January 20+21, 2019, at State College of Florida in partnership with the Sarasota County Film & Entertainment Office -- and actually pitch in front of these executives (if you CHOOSE to - no one is required to pitch!) They will hear & judge the best pitches of the event.
 
Half day Sunday 1/20 1PM-5:30 PM followed by a networking mixer, and  Monday 1/21, morning including breakfast  session followed by lunch, followed by a Judging Panel in Auditorium, on these subjects:
    SCRIPTED AND UNSCRIPTED TELEVISION INCLUDING STREAMING;
    FEATURE FILM / MOVIE SCREENPLAYS;
    ACTORS, PERFORMERS & OTHER TALENT: PITCHING YOURSELF IN AUDITIONS & INTERVIEWS; and
    NOVELS & OTHER SOURCE MATERIAL – NOVELS, BOOKS, ARTICLES, SHORT STORIES ETC.; and
    BUSINESS SAVVY!
 
VIP speakers' credits include directing, producing, casting, executive producing, writing, leading business teams, and other elements for major motion pictures and television content for HBO, ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, WEtv, USA, THE CW, LIFETIME, UPN, STARZ, COMEDY CENTRAL, DISCOVERY, MTV, AND FX, as well as NYTimes & international best-selling books, who will share their knowledge and insight, hear your pitches (if you give one ), and be the final afternoon JUDGING PANEL, to decide First, Second and Third “BEST PITCHES” of the conference which will receive awards, as well as the distinction and opportunity for self-promotion, press and publicity to further the winners’ career goals!
