The duties of a veterinary assistant vary widely, but all are important to ensure the health and well-being of animals inside the veterinary practice. Your day-to-day activities may be to assist the veterinarian and veterinarian technicians with basic tasks, such as feeding, weighing, administering medication, or taking the temperature of various animals. You may also perform clerical work such as scheduling appointments and speaking with customers.
